Washington Riptides Soccer

The Washington Riptides were founded in the fall of 2004 with a U-12 COED team.
The Team is based in Washington, North Carolina. In the spring of 2005, a U-12 girls
team was added. The Inner Banks Youth Soccer Association was formed in the
summer of 2005 to coordinate the Riptides soccer program. U-10 Girls and U-10 Boys
teams were added during the 2005-2006 season. U-14 girls and boys teams were
added in the 2006-2007 season. A U-15 Classic Boys team was added in the spring
of 2008. The Washington Riptides have played as Pitt Greenville Soccer Association
affiliates since the inception of the Down East Soccer Club in the fall of 2004.
The Riptides soccer program is designed to complement the outstanding Recreation
League offered by the Washington, NC Optimist Club by providing players with the
opportunity to play Challenge level soccer against some of the best young soccer
players throughout Eastern North Carolina.

Most Home games are held at the SuzieGray McConnell Complex located off of
Airport Road in Washington, N.C. The Alternate Home game location is the
Minuteman Lane soccer fields located on Minuteman Lane in Washington, N.C.
We practice at the Minuteman Lane fields located on Minuteman Lane near the
National Guard Armory.
